Jaipur startup RiskPe launches fee-based insurance management and claim simulation platform

RiskPe, an insurance advisory and management startup, has introduced a fee-based model that lets clients pay directly for insurance management rather than through insurer commissions, a structure the company says removes conflicts of interest common in traditional insurance distribution in India.

The company was founded by Krit Sharma, Surendra Sharma and Saket Prag. The founders say the business was built in response to a long-standing structural problem in Indian insurance: agents and advisors are typically paid through commissions from insurers, creating an incentive to recommend products that pay more rather than products that fit a customer’s actual needs. Surendra Sharma’s background in commercial insurance distribution, Krit Sharma’s experience within an insurance aggregator’s distribution operations, and Saket Prag’s technology expertise combined to shape RiskPe‘s fee-only advisory model.

The platform manages insurance policies purchased from any insurer, offering ongoing portfolio management, premium negotiation and renewal tracking for a direct annual fee rather than commission-based compensation. Its key feature is a claim simulation tool that models a policyholder’s real-life scenario against their existing policy to estimate the expected claim payout in advance, factoring in clauses such as co-payments, sub-limits and depreciation that are typically discovered only after a claim is filed.

The company also offers AI-generated policy insight reports that identify coverage gaps, a dedicated claim recovery service for rejected or disputed claims, and an outsourced insurance management offering for corporate HR teams handling employee health and benefits programs.

RiskPe is positioning itself as a full-service insurance support ecosystem rather than a traditional insurance broker or comparison platform, aiming to serve customers across the entire lifecycle of a policy, from purchase through renewal and claims, rather than only at the point of sale.

The startup is headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and serves clients across India through its fee-based, commission-free insurance advisory and management services.
